My experience about this blog.

To have a blog is a little freak for me... because I remember my adolescence when I had Fotolog.

I think is no necessary to have one... It's an older format that is replaced and exceeded by FaceBook...

FaceBook it's a complete platform... which you can do a lot of words, is more easy to use and is the most popular platform in the world at this moment.

To have a blog is retro like. It's more romantic.

Thanks to my blog experience now I feel more comfortable with the english lenguage.

I would like to include some freak videos of preformance and different art actions... and take this platform like a secret chat whit my classmates for a long long time and don't loose this beauty relations.

And I want to talk about the english subject... the truth in this faculty all the people want to skip this grade, but it's a great help for any artist... in this category you'll travel a lot.

Man Ray, an expert old photographer.

"Legendary Photography, painter, and maker of objects and films, Man Ray was on the most versatile and inventive artist of this century".

This big artist was born in Philadelphia in 1890. In Paris (1920's and 1930's) he played a key role in the Dada and Surrealist movements; The Hollywood of the 1940s, where he joined others chased by war from their homes in Europe; and finally, Paris again until his death in 1976.
Especifically, today I want to show you some of the most iconic works of photography of Man Ray:
Whites and blacks with an amazing detail, big sharpness... I mean... a flawless technique, with an special seal of his beautiful art live in his works.


Mr. Ray was in Chile this year in MAC (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo) with D. Lachapelle and other artists and in this museum was seen some of his most popular works.
Portraits, nudes and others filled up an empty space of the MAC.
He is one of the most influential photographers of his time.

This image is a photomontage of the time... it has a thorough analogous work. And the man of the picture is Dalí, his personal friend. (Surreal image).

Until today Man Ray still be an important and influential artist. He marked an era and a trend, for this Ray was one of my lovely artists.

MY FAVOURITE RECIPE FOR COOKING ON MY OWN.

"Tortilla de zanahorias y arroz al apio".
materials:

A) omelette Carrot:

2 carrots
1/2 eggplant
1 clove garlic
4 eggs
olive oil, salt, pepper


B) Rice

1 cup rice
2 cloves garlic
a celery
2 cups water
salt and oil

One of the most important points when cooking time is to see the kitchen. in this case it is essential to start with the rice.

Lightly fry the rice with 2 cloves of garlic and the amount of salt needed. Once the grains are almost white pour 2 cups rice and celery. Cover the pan and put toaster with low heat.
20 minutes and turn off the fire. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes.

Next to de rice, take the carrots and fry it, add salt, pepper and dressing as you like. Add the eggs and mix it. Turn the omelette. And ready!

I hope you enjoy it , is a very cheap and very healthy recipe and it's for two persons.

THE STORY OF A PICTURE

This picture for me is very important.
It was the day when asked my sister marriage. for me it is one of the most important women in my life.
Why this photo and not another? it marks a milestone in my life ... I grew up with it, was something like my second mother, was in each of the steps I took since I was born.
my sister was 27 years old at the time.
The lucky man who is at his side is called Alejandro, is a good man, besides being a friend of my family since before I met Sanhdra, my sister.
They now have a beautiful family, his eldest son is my godson and the lowest is one of the most entertaining and sensitive children I know.
think about these important dates, I project this Christmas, I could not get along without them, because I love them.

MY LIFE AS A PLAYLIST



I remember when as a child in year 1996 approximately the girlfriend of my brother gave me my first cassette of my favorite music group techno "Vengaboys". Sometimes I listened with fault, as it was a little gay music group. My brother and me competed with the volume of the music (he liked dead metal).
After that group of brazilian techno music through listening to pop, lots of pop... this time the choice was Shakira. The song "Ojos así" was my favorite, make me dance, sing and laugh. I remember going to my fisrt concert by that song, about 1997 approximately.
Electro Bossa Nova, Electro Tango, Electro pop, and pure electronic accompanied me a long time. Groups like Portishead, Miranda !, Bajofondo Tango Club, and other defined my tastes. and make me fell what I do. I remember my friends and my family listening that music.
When I live alone two years I remember my moments of loneliness, listening to classical music by giving me a bath and reading the Bible. Moments of nostalgic, freedom and fun.
Today I enjoy listening romantic Pop like Pablo Alborán, Miguel Bosé and others. I prefer the quieter music.
PS: The best gift for somebody is old music!

Expectations of this semester

This semester I have to be incredibly positive because I`m in the right side... now I'm in the ceramics subject. The last semester I was in spculture... I suffered in that way...the processes were way too slow, I was looking for something faster and I want to find my way to make art and stay here

Another of my expectation is to better schedule my time to get better results, try to do more things outdoors. Go near the sea, enjoy the nature and enjoy my family.

In general I hope to find my center and increase my balance, to be happy and make happy everything I touch.

My favorite technology machine:

My favorite piece of technology is a computer, because it is a complete machine, it can do a lot of actions like other minor machines, but all in one...

Music, photos, videos, animations, social media, comunication, art, politics, books, news and all freak things you can do with a computer.

I prefer Macintosh for their desing and funcionality... especially for my area... I'm a Photographer and student of Visual Arts and I use programs like Photoshop, Light Room and others and is so fast and comfortable make works in it.

Even Windows… despite being so popular, it will never have the efficiency of the brain Mac.

Autobiography

My name is Matías, I`m 27 years old. I was born in Santiago of Chili.

As a child I studied in 3 different schools and graduated from Compañía de María Apoquindo. Just 17, I went to soudy advertising, but did not finish that race. After taking a year off from studies, studying photography at a private school. At that time my health did not walk very well, I  realized I liked men and some things changed in my life. I realized I had real friends. My life was art and family, until I began to regain some of my friends to finish the race in “Escuela de Foto Arte de Chile”.

My ambition for Knowledge and to be a better profesional led me to a new challenge: to enter at “Universidad de Chile”. The main idea was to learn other áreas never explored. As a child he loved to paint, but I never realized that I would become an artista.

Today I`m happy, I have 1 year boyfriend and my friends are going well.

My proyects are art and traveling the world doing that.

I think I`m happy, my family is responsable for that too.
